The build
Tide & Tumble is a balance game with a clock made of water. You stack river stones on a tidal flat and the sea decides how long you had. Nothing in the game explains this; the second wave does.
The simulation is deterministic and seed-based, so a shared board plays out identically on a 2019 budget phone and a current flagship. That was a hard requirement for the daily challenge.
It is in soft launch in New Zealand, Ireland and the Philippines. Day-one retention is sitting at 47.2%, and the current work is entirely on the first four minutes — the ramp between board three and board seven is still too steep.
