Quietly

Quietly is a focus timer and an ambient mixer in one screen. Nine sound beds you can layer and balance, a timer that keeps running when Android decides to be aggressive about background work, and nothing else.

There is no sign-in and the app makes no network requests at all after install — all audio ships in the bundle. That was a deliberate constraint: the people who use a focus app are often the people who turned the internet off on purpose.

Written in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose and a foreground media service, which is the unglamorous part that actually makes it reliable across OEM battery managers.
